Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles

CARQUEST is dedicated to supplying customers with automatic transmissions and transaxles remanufactured using only the latest methods to correct recurrent original equipment manufacturer (OEM) factory faults.

All transmissions and transaxles are 100% “hot tested” using dynamometers before they are approved for delivery. In order to ensure against pinpoint cracks and other imperfections, valve body and internal hydraulic testing is performed on every unit that goes through the plant.

Because torque converters are the heart of the transmission, they are also remanufactured to the same exacting, high-quality standards as the transmissions to ensure peak performance and durability.

Constant Velocity Driveshafts

CARQUEST sets the standard with its new and remanufactured lines of constant velocity driveshafts and its commitment to progressive innovation and aftermarket added-value product solutions. Each remanufactured unit features all new components included in the outer joint, new anti-lock braking system (ABS) rings where applicable and new spindle nuts supplied on all applications.

The single arc Rzeppa “improved design” outer joint eliminates the problematic OEM dual arc design. All CARQUEST Driveshafts use 100% new, oversized components to improve the durability of the outer joint and are excellent solutions to frequently troubled applications like Honda, Acura and Subaru.

Clutch Assembly Components

CARQUEST provides a comprehensive line of clutch components and hydraulics that sets the standard for product performance, reliability and durability. What’s more, CARQUEST offers nearly 100% coverage on all domestic and import applications for passenger cars and light- or medium-duty trucks.

When it comes to flywheels, CARQUEST now offers the industry’s most comprehensive lineup of quality new flywheels for passenger car and light truck applications. Every CARQUEST-supplied “Gold” clutch kit contains the highest-quality all-new pressure plate assembly, disc assembly, release bearing, pilot bearing/bushing and alignment tool.

U-Joints and Center Supports

New technology applications such as Alumiguard-equipped universal joints for aluminum drive-line applications are featured. CARQUEST also offers premium center support bearings for domestic applications, ranging from passenger cars to heavy-duty trucks. These components support the weight of the drive-line and are critical to balance, thereby reducing vibration.
